Databricks Unity Gateway budgets and cost tracking
Near real-time budgets, per-user spend limits and usage blocking for AI spend that flows through Unity Gateway, plus a built-in AI cost dashboard.
Budgets cover pay-per-token model usage, ai_query, Genie and, optionally (Beta), external model providers, but not provisioned throughput or traffic sent straight to standalone serving endpoints. Spend is logged to system.ai_gateway.usage and system.ai_gateway.external_model_spend, and the usage dashboard breaks cost down by service, model, user and tag.
